The Alchemist at Skooliepalooza: Turning Ceremonial Cacao into Community Medicine

Published: May 15, 2026 By Agroverse

Sammi Whitchurch is The Alchemist—a pop-up vendor who brings ceremonial cacao to Skooliepalooza and the nomadic festival circuit. In this vertical clip (~49s), she shows what a morning of community medicine looks like: perfectly roasted beans, melted into oat milk, served cup by cup to the people gathered around her.

"We've been serving hot cacao every morning at Skooliepalooza. Honestly, it smells so good. Oh yeah, it smells so good. I'm getting it all in there. Hey, you can kind of give them a twist. If they don't come apart when you twist them, that means they're under-roasted. The beans were just perfectly roasted. I am currently brewing and stirring up the cacao so it melts and we can serve it to the people. The cacao seems all melted into the oat milk at this point. And Samantha starts serving it up in a cup."

Ceremonial cacao on the shelves

The Alchemist carries Oscar's Farm ceremonial cacao—regenerative, single-estate, and traceable from the Amazon to the desert.
